Pacific 24 RHIB VR Simulator

This is a final year group project to produce a VR motion-platform simulator of a Pacific 24 RHIB for our Royal Navy client working closely in collaboration with our secondary client, Novatech. Having assistance from Atomic Motion Systems and Blueflame Digital for specific hardware and software support. We were to produce a virtual version of the boat being as accurate to its true to life form in relation of looks and driving, working on the desired virtual simulation platform of the client, Virtual Battlespace 3.

The group consisted of 1 Designer, 3 Programmers, and 3 Artists. I was the Lead Artist, taking on the roles of modelling, texturing, rigging, populating the Portsmouth Harbour map, and managing the two other Artists in the group.

The simulation produced from this project has been demanded at national and international events:

With the success of this project it is planned to be used in live training of Navy personnel.
